Leeroy began his solo career in '96
when he released a white label EP under the quite fitting
name of 'The Longman'. Later on one of the tracks from
that EP, Dreamers, resurfaced on a compilation put
together by the DJ/producer Kris Needs called 'Must'. In
'97 Leeroy provided fellow musicians Shades of Rhythm
with a remix of their track 'Psycho Base'. In '99 he made a stunning remix of Dr. Dooom's (a.k.a. 'Kool' Keith Thornton) 'Leave Me Alone', this time under the name of Flightcrank which was to becom his new alias. Leeroy has after that signed to the label Copasetik, the same label that released the Dr. Dooom single. During late '99 Leeroy worked with the UK band Southern fly remixing two of their tracks, both has since then been released. In 2000 he has remixed UK rappers Runaways UK (soon to be featured here) and finally realeased his first official solo EP, Flightcrank EP. His debut LP will be released soon... |
