British band Sneaker Pimps only released their acoustic version of Firestarter on limited edition 7".
In the book 'Adventures With the Voodoo Crew' by Martin James you can read about an episode where Liam, the front man of Sneaker Pimps (different Liam), called up Liam (Howlett) at 3 a.m. in the morning to apologize for them releasing this promo since he had heard that Liam (Howlett) didn't like their version.
